The films include "Barbie,” "Frances Ha," and "Lady Bird," all of which have received critical acclaim. The screenings will be held at the outdoor courtyard of the museum's outdoor courtyard. Each movie will cost $16 per person and there is a series pass for all three films available for $48 each.

(FOX40.COM) — The Crocker Art Museum is screening films this summer that were either directed or written by Sacramento native Greta Gerwig.

The downtown Sacramento museum is showcasing the Gerwig films “Barbie,” “Frances Ha,” and “Lady Bird,” all of which have garnered critical acclaim.

The films are being screened as part of the museum’s “Movies Off the Wall Series.” Each movie will be shown at the museum’s outdoor courtyard with the Teel Family Pavilion serving as the backdrop.

Here is the schedule for the movie series:

•Barbie — Thursday, June 20 at 7 p.m.

•Frances Ha — Thursday, July 18 at 7 p.m.

•Lady Bird — Thursday, Aug. 15 at 7 p.m.

“Barbie” and “Lady Bird” are past Academy Award Best Picture nominees directed by Gerwig. The Sacramento native earned a Golden Globe nomination for her acting role in “Frances Ha,” a flim she co-wrote with her husband Noah Baumbach.

Both “Lady Bird” and “Frances Ha” were shot in Sacramento.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate Greta Gerwig, a remarkable talent from our own hometown, in such a unique and beautiful setting,” Sacramento Film Commissioner Jennifer West said. “This movie screening collaboration highlights the vibrant cultural scene here in Sacramento.”

The screenings are a ticketed event with each movie costing $16 per person. There is a series pass for all three films available for $48 each.
