Despite this, Miami's offense managed only 192 yards of offense, significantly less than Fresno State's 391. The first edition of the bowl was sponsored by SnoOP Dogg, with head coach Chuck Martin and rapper Snoop Dazzi giving a custom chain for MVP Kevin Davis.
