Joshua Lee Arnold was sentenced to serve 26 years in prison plus another 28 years to life for attempted murder and assault with a handgun during a crime spree.

The Visalia man led San Luis Obispo County sheriff's deputies on a chase during a crime spree in the county last year.

Grover Beach Police said Arnold shot a 7-Eleven employee in Grover Beach on August 17th.

He then drove to San Luis Obispo where he attempted to carjack another person.

A 19-year-old was shot near the Panda Express on Los Osos Valley Road in San Luis Obispo.

Then around 4:20 p.m., police received a tip from a resident that the suspect vehicle from the Grover Beach shooting was in the 1900 block of San Luis Ranch Road.

Police and San Luis Obispo sheriff’s deputies, California State Parks, California Fish and Wildlife, and CHP responded and located the suspect vehicle.

After a brief search, he was located nearby and surrendered.
