Born in 1931, Betty Lou was born to F. Eugene and Alice Davis Mallory, a ranching family, attended Madera schools and was a 1949 graduate of Mader Union High School. She followed her education at Fresno State College and married Robert E. Montgomery in 1953 and they remained married for nearly 62 years. Betty Lou began her career with the Fresno Unified School District in 1976 as a Paraprofessional Tutor, particularly focusing on English language learners and special needs students. She is survived by her six children and their spouses.
