Fresno Yosemite International Airport Receives More LUV with Southwest Airlines New Service to Dallas

Fresno, CA (June 8, 2024) – On Saturday, June 8, Southwest Airlines expanded its route map for summer at Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) with the launch of new nonstop seasonal service between Fresno and Dallas Love Field (DAL). Operating on Saturdays between June 8 and August 3, this new route brings more destination options to FAT with nonstop service to DAL, where Southwest operates more than 20 flights a day to 80 cities.

“I continually remark on how Southwest has been a game changer in terms of economic development opportunities,” said City of Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer. “The addition of Dallas Love Field seasonal service demonstrates the air service demand for more flights through Fresno and provides an added air gateway for Texas residents to explore the many summer activities found in our city and the region.”

“Other carriers have fallen in and out of love with California but Southwest proudly has been the Golden State’s largest air carrier consistently for nearly a quarter century,” said Brook Sorem, Southwest Airlines Vice President of Network Planning. “We’re so pleased to provide this additional time-saving route between the Central San Joaquin Valley and the Heart of our network in Dallas as families and vacationers make the most of their summer holidays.”

The nonstop itinerary operates on Saturdays to and from Dallas (Love Field) and complements existing connecting and same-plane/no change options Southwest provides daily to Dallas Love Field year round. The Dallas flight this summer joins nonstop flights offered daily between Fresno and both Las Vegas and Denver. Southwest continues to meet the air service demands of Central Valley travelers by increasing flight frequencies during peak travel seasons. The airline’s popular and friendly policy that allows two checked bags for free (weight and size limitations apply) provides added value for travelers with checked baggage.
