Singh Calls for Investigation Into DUI Arrest as Supporters Rally in Tower District
After a social media storm following news of his DUI arrest, Fresno City Council candidate Naindeep Singh detailed the incident Monday. Fresno City Council candidate Naindeep Singh has called for an investigation into his arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. Singh, who claims he does not drink nor do drugs, has produced independent negative urinalysis tests that he claims corroborate his claims. However, with the election looming, Singh questioned the timing and circumstances of the arrest and called for a thorough investigation by the City Council. He is running against State Center Community College District board President Rob Fuentes to replace Annalisa Perea as the District 1 councilmember. Fresno City Councilmember Miguel Arias raised concerns about the city attorney going on record on an issue he says falls outside his department's jurisdiction.
