Students at Coalinga College are gaining valuable real-world agricultural experience through paid internships at the school's Farm of the Future. The internships, which bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry careers, allow students to maintain crops at the farm while learning the day-to-day responsibilities of farm management. The interns work directly on projects across the farm and receive experiences tailored to their individual interests and career goals. College leaders say the program helps students build practical skills while exposing them to a range of career opportunities in agriculture. The college plans to continue growing the internship program, with the goal of supporting 25 to 30 paid interns annually.
